Bio
Growing up, I felt proud to be Jewish and was empowered to sing about it by many different clergy leaders and teachers. I was born and raised in Evanston, IL, a suburb outside of Chicago. I gained a solid foundation of Jewish learning at Solomon Schechter Day School and had my bat mitzvah at Beth Emet the Free Synagogue. I also spent a few lively summers at Jewish camps OSRUI and Habonim Dror Camp Tavor.

As I got to college, I began dreaming of becoming a cantor and pursued Indiana University’s pre-cantorial program, created by Dr. Judah Cohen. It was there where I began integrating my love of Jewish community and music, traveling to synagogues around the country with my Jewish a cappella group, Hooshir, and teaching music at synagogues. I was also blessed with the opportunity to pursue a minor in Hebrew.
My passion for my undergraduate studies led me to apply to and begin cantorial school at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College in 2020. My time in cantorial school has been deeply joyous and formative. It has given me many opportunities to uplift people through prayer and counsel others in every facet of life.
It is a privilege to serve those in my community at their most painful, most ecstatic, and ordinary moments in-between. As a cantor, I strive to use music as a tool to build bridges and transform the spirit. I’d love to sing with you some day.

Some of my other passions include practicing hot yoga, writing Jewish music, studying Chasidut, and exploring new hiking trails.
